People with Auditory Processing Disorder often have clinically normal hearing, but have difficulty in the following environments:

• Communicating in background noise

• Differentiating between similar sounds

• Understand spoken language

Often when hearing aids are provided, the brain needs to relearn how to hear sounds. If you are struggling to hear, even with hearing aids, auditory skills training can improve what your brain does with the new sound.

We work with clients, age 6 and older.

We use a bottom-up approach which means we teach basic speech sound recognition skills and build to more complex listening tasks.
